Private, Structured and Court-Informed

Mediation offers families an opportunity to address disagreements in a confidential and structured setting without immediately turning every issue into public litigation.

Healing Paths Mediation Services helps parties work toward agreements that are clear, practical, child-focused, and informed by experience within the family court system. When appropriate, agreements may be prepared for independent legal review and possible submission to the court.

The mediator does not act as an attorney, provide legal advice, represent either party, or guarantee court approval.

The Healing Paths Three-Step Mediation Process

1. Assessment and Goals

Individual intake sessions provide each party with an opportunity to identify concerns, priorities, disputed issues, and desired outcomes.

2. Collaboration and Compromise

During guided mediation sessions, the parties discuss their concerns, improve communication, consider possible solutions, and work toward mutually acceptable agreements.

3. Resolution and Follow-Up

When agreements are reached, the terms are organized into a clear written plan. Optional follow-up sessions may be scheduled to address implementation concerns, changing circumstances, or future disagreements.
