About Healing Paths

Who are we?

At Healing Paths Mediation Services, we provide families with neutral, child-focused mediation to help resolve custody and co-parenting disputes outside of court. Our mission is to reduce conflict, encourage cooperation, and protect children’s emotional well-being during times of transition.

In addition to family mediation, Healing Paths Mediation Services is proud to be an approved mediator on the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Panel with the Alameda County Superior Court, providing mediation services for civil and small claims matters. This court-recognized role reflects our commitment to impartiality, professionalism, and effective conflict resolution across a wide range of disputes.

Whether working with families or the broader community, we are dedicated to creating respectful solutions that prioritize clarity, accountability, and lasting peace.

Our Background…Our Expertise

I know firsthand the impact custody disputes can have on a family—because I have lived it from both sides. As a child caught in the middle of my parents’ custody battle, I carried the weight of conflict that wasn’t mine to bear. Later, as a parent navigating my own custody dispute, I saw that once again, the person most deeply affected was the child.
These experiences shaped my passion and purpose. I understand that, at one point, both parents cared for one another. While you may not be the best of friends today, we owe it to our children to remain respectful, cordial, and committed to working together. Children thrive when parents find a happy medium—where conflict is replaced with cooperation and peace. My background includes but is not limited to:

  • Over 4 years as a Child Custody Recommending Counselor, including 2 years as a Lead Mediator with the Superior Courts

  • 13+ years as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in family systems and conflict resolution

  • Creator of a mediation-based co-parenting framework used in private practice

  • Author of The Guide to Mediation Healing Paths “Where Children Comes First, And Families Find Peace”

  • Approved mediator on the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Panel with the Alameda County Superior Court

  • Personal lived experience in custody disputes, giving me empathy and insight

  • Associate degree in business administration with an Emphasis in Criminal Justice

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
